This noble grape variety is planted extensively in Paarl where it produces wines with excellent colour and good tannins due to the favourable Mediterranean climate with its long, warm summers. Full-bodied (body refers to fullness on the palate) with well-integrated oak, velvety tannins and a lingering aftertaste.
