The grapes used in this wine are sourced from the El Mariscal vineyard in the higher Maipo valley, renowned for its ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon. Located at the foot of the Andes Mountains on the northern bank of the Maipo river, the vineyard grows on alluvial soil composed of gravel, clay and sand, with very good drainage. The temperate mediterranean climate is refreshed by the cool breeze coming from the mountains. This creates important temperature differences between day and night, resulting in slow maturation and producing elegant wines of silky tannins and nice concentration.
A wine of bright garnet color with violet hues and nice concentration in the glass. The nose is rich in aromas of black pepper, red cherries and hints of fine, well integrated wood. The stylish mouth features very pure red and black fruit, powerful and complex tannins, and a finish marked by notes of vanilla and cedar.
Beef stews with spices and red wine, braised beef tenderloin.
