Ripe, full bodied wine with concentrated blackcurrant fruit flavours and rich cassis notes, with velvety tannins on the long finish. This wine is a great match with grilled steak, roasted lamb and tomato based pasta dishes. Chile’s Central Valley has a long tradition of winemaking due to it having the ideal climate for growing grapes, with long warm summers which allow the grapes to ripen slowly and develop complex flavours. Santa Carolina has been a pioneer of Chilean wine since 1875 when Luis Pereyra Cotapos founded the winery, which he named after his wife.
